(p. 209) Explain the occupational stress models. (pp. 215-221) Identify the 11 different categories of organizational constraints. (pp. 237-241) The biblical perspective will be based on 1 Timothy 4:8 and how it aligns with employee health and well-being. God created our bodies and will resurrect them. He wants us to honor Him by caring for our health and well-being. 1 Timothy 4:8 affirms our bodies and the importance of physical training. In 3 John 2, God wishes that we are prosperous and in good health. Because God wants us to care for our bodies, the Bible affirms, “Bodily training is of some value” (The Holy Bible, English Standard Version, 2001, 1 Timothy 4:8). Our well-being is a total physical, mental, and spiritual integration. It is a complex interaction that leads to quality of life. Wellness is commonly viewed as having dimensions. Each dimension contributes to our wellness or quality of life, affecting and overlapping the others.
