You may meet in person, through web conference, email, text, or other electronic shared space.FILLER TEXTIdentify the relevant issues, stating assumptions if appropriate. Note: The emphasis at this stage is to gain an overview of the issues involved.FILLER TEXTUse the internet and the University Library to research your selected emerging issue.FILLER TEXTCreate an 8- to 12-slide presentation, with speaker notes, analyzing the emerging issue the team selected in which you:
Analyze the cause or causes of the emerging issue and the strategic impact on organizations in general if it’s not addressed appropriately.
Identify the ethical or social responsibilities that need to be addressed with the issue you selected.
- Assess alternative actions to solve the problem or improve the situation. Are there staff recruitment, legal, or HR planning issues that need to be addressed?
- Recommend the best alternative, and explain why it is the best. How and when should the recommended action be implemented?
- Indicate any employee issues, labor relations issues, and/or any workplace safety issues that may be related to this issue.
- Identify any issues about future training to employees and supervisors/management on the topic that should be implemented.
- FILLER TEXTUse visual aids and graphics to enhance your presentation. FILLER TEXTInclude a minimum of 3 sources to support your work comprised of the course text and 2 peer reviewed journal articles (see Announcements section for definition of a peer reviewed journal source). Government and professional organization websites are good sources but will be considered as additional sources to the 3 required.Format the presentation to APA standards. It can be a challenge in power point. Simply place all the demographic data on the cover slide just as you would on the cover page of a paper, have power point insert slide numbers, follow formatting rules of APA on references. It may be a challenge to get it to insert a hanging indent. With respect to this feature only, do not be concerned if the references are not formatted with the hanging indent. The other formatting rules will apply.
