Background: Sociology is the systematic study of social behavior. To understand this social behavior sociologists examines the connections between an individuals life and the real world . The two major perspectives in Sociology that are used to describe the relationship is the macro and micro sociological perspectives.
THIS IS A CRITICAL THINKING ASSIGNMENT. FOR THE PAST THREE WEEKS , CLASS DISCUSSIONS AND MATERIALS FROM CHAPTER ONE HAVE FOCUSED ON YOUR BECOMING A SOCIAL ANALYST. THIS IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO PULL ALL OF THE INFORMATION TOGETHER.
Directions: Select two examples of choices you have made or experiences that you have had in your everyday life and explain how these two perspectives provide you with a better understanding of that particular experience or why you made that particular choice. Make sure you have a clear understanding of each perspective. The macro perspective focuses on large scale social structures and how they influence social interactions. The micro perspective focuses on the individual . There are some examples in the text that may be helpful.
