1- my first event was the Zoo fiesta it was on 21 September Saturday from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm by the International Society. It was about seeing and experiencing the Hispanic heritage event and there was a Hispanic music band came all the way to Washington D.C. The most thing that made me comfortable that the organizers were so nice and lovely to me and I felt safe and confident to go with them. I was so excited to go to the zoo and see the Hispanic heritage, music band and seeing the wild animals and what made me more excited is it’s my first time going to the Smithsonian National Zoological Park and it was a huge zoo it’s like a city we kept walking over 30 minutes inside the zoo just to go to the festival. And there were a lot of people there and we had fun we danced together and everyone was dancing and clapping and singing with the band and was really happy and I had a lot of fun and I got along with the people of our group and we explored the zoo And we took pictures together and took pictures of the animals and every animal has a description about them and we learned of it and it was a useful thing.
2- the second event was Come Grow with Food For Thought on 5 October Saturday, from 9:00, am to 11:00 am. By Food for Thought organization. It was about going to the garden and pulling out the vegetables and fruits that are fully grown and ready for eating or cooking and collect and put them in a plastic box and give it to the homeless people. we had a lot of fun everyone had to pick up a plastic box and collect all the grown vegetables and fruits and pluck them such as tomatoes, jalapeños, apples, and green and red peppers.and they taught us how to know if it’s ready to pluck it or not and we experienced that and after collecting everything we started putting every vegetable or fruit in a box and throw the damaged ones.and it was a nice experience.
