Your final submission for this course will be a research paper.
Content Requirement
The research paper should take a topic found in Epic of Eden and expand your learning on the subject through interaction with multiple scholarly resources. A qualifying paper will be 1500 words and engage at least 4 scholarly sources and no more than 8 sources. Dictionaries and Bibles do not count in the tally of sources used, but must be cited appropriately if you use them.
Use APA style. It is expected that papers will be written to college-level academic standards, and will have been proof-read and edited prior to submission. Please do not use general websites as sources for this paper. They are generally not scholarly. The Central Christian College library contains databases of journals that you can access to accomplish your research.
Possible topics for the research paper include: The Middle Bronze Age, OT Theophanies, The Bible and Archaeology, Egypt in the time of the OT, Assyria in the time of the OT, Babylon in the time of the OT, biblical geography, the role of the prophet in pre-Exilic Israel, the role of the prophet in post-Exilic Israel, Creation, Sin/Fall, Redemption in the OT. If you discover another topic of interest, please have the topic approved by the professor.
Your paper should include these elements:
- Introduction: what makes your topic worthy of a paper? What do you hope to gain/learn/answer?
- State your thesis clearly in the introduction. Include your main idea and major subtopics.
- Answer the question you raise, and/or address your topic thoroughly.
- Provide complete evidence/support for any claims made.
- Use scripture, reason, and tradition when appropriate.

This paper needs to be about the Creation. Plain and simple. My theory is this. History is events and things that take place that are witnessed and documented. That way people can read about it and learn and or discover something that took place before their time. I feel this way regarding the creation. The Big Bang would had to have been witnessed to describe how it all happened. Thing is there was no one around to see this so call Big Bang to write it down and describe in detail so that others can learn about it. Physics tells us that something can’t come from nothing so how did the Big Bang come to be. In the beginning God created the heaven and earth. In one sentence we have matter, space and time because God willed it to be. It was God that created the Earth not some stupid Big Bang.
