Sustainability is a difficult concept to define but the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are often useful as a set of clear goals for sustainability. This assignment will utilize the SDGs to test the sustainability of a particular tourism destination. Students most choose one of the 17 SDGs (found here: https://sustainabledevelopment.un.org/sdgs) and a particular tourism destination (country, specific region or attraction, or a specific tourism provider) and argue if tourism in that destination does or does not contribute to meeting that SDG. You must use class readings and discussions, online sources, or academic research to support your evaluation.
Your paper should include:
•An introduction that clearly states your choice of SDG and destination summarizes your findings.
•A conclusion that restates your findings and why they are relevant.
•The paper must use the APA citation and reference list format.
